Sauk Prairie Aquatics is offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training in a blended learning format with assigned online portions accessed via mobile, desktop, or tablet. These online portions must be completed before the in-person dates at the Sauk Prairie Indoor Aquatic Facility.

The in-water portion will be done in an extended class format to give you additional practice time with rescue skills. Upon completion, you will be an American Red Cross-certified lifeguard with first aid, CPR, and AED training.

Prerequisites:

  1. Minimum age of 15 years.

  2. Complete a test swimming 150 yards, doing a 2-minute tread, and finishing with 50 yards using front crawl or breaststroke.

  3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds involving swimming 20 yards, retrieving a 10-pound object from 7-12 feet, and returning and exiting the water at the starting point.
