Robotics: Muscle 'Bots
Get ready to flex some robot muscle! We’ll build a robot to compete in a tug-o-war competition, a truck pull, and haul heavy loads. Students use these robots to learn basic computer coding and engineering principles.

This class is held at the Community Center and is taught by the Youth Enrichment League (YEL). YEL's mission is to engage youth to Think, Learn and Play Well. The organizations holds enrichment classes and events in communities across North America.

Beginner Guitar Lessons
This class is designed for children 9-18 just starting out or looking to start playing guitar. Our guitar course is for students wanting to learn to play guitar using basic guitar chords found in folk, country, and rock music. Guitar and picks are required, but no experience is necessary. You’ll be amazed at how fast you can learn to play the world’s most popular instrument!

Art Camp
Explore the world of art! Art Camp is a casual workshop for young artists to turn curiosity into creation.
Each week we’ll introduce a new medium, talk about artists who work in that medium, and give kids time to create their own pieces of art. While guidance is always available, there will not be formal instruction, but rather a time for kids to explore and create at their own pace.

Programs on No-School-Days
The Community Center hosts activities, classes and day camps on days that Sauk Prairie School District is off school for events like professional development days and parent-teacher conferences. This fall, we are offering everything from day camps for kids so that parents can still go to work, to fun and affordable activities for the whole family to attend.

Babysitter Training
In this American Red Cross course, teens and pre-teens will gain the skills and confidence to be a great babysitter! Learn how to care for babies and kids up to age 10, keep the kids and yourself safe, make playtime fun with age-appropriate activities, handle a wide variety of emergencies and manage your babysitting business. Includes introduction to CPR.
Participants should bring a sack lunch.

Learn to Play Chess
Kids will learn how to play this classic game, explore chess strategies, and play against other students. Early sessions will focus on learning the game initially, and then focus on slightly more complex strategies students as develop their skills. This class will be a great opportunity to learn, make friends, and enjoy one of the most popular games in history.
