Open Walking in School Buildings
Walking for exercise is allowed during scheduled times at the Sauk Prairie Community Center (gym) and Sauk Prairie High School (designated routes). Scheduled times are November - May.
Walking is not available when school is not in session (no school days) and if the building is being used for an event where walkers might be a disruption.
Walking at the Sauk Prairie Community Center
730 Monroe Street, Sauk City
Walk in the Community Center gym is available during most mornings. The gym may also be in use by other programs during the scheduled walking times.
Walking at Sauk Prairie High School
105 Ninth Street, Prairie du Sac
Open Walking is available at the High School only in designated routes posted on the main entrance doors.
Guidelines
Please wear clean, dry tennis shoes for walking.
Please note that the high school is a busy place! On many nights, there will be multiple events, practices and meetings being held. Be respectful of other people meeting in the building and using the walking areas.
Please note that you must use ONLY the designated walking routes. Designated route at the Community Center is the gym. Designated routes at the High School are posted here. Do not enter other hallways, rooms or gyms. This helps our custodial staff and contributes to the safety of all those using the building.
